Vanilla Paradise Nevis Doubles Down on Growth

Egrets on the new land are waiting for tasty treats!

A Fragrant Future Unfolds

We are thrilled to announce that Vanilla Paradise Nevis, a pioneer of vanilla cultivation on the beautiful island of Nevis, has started on an exciting expansion journey! As the first and only vanilla farm on Nevis, we're not just growing a crop – we're nurturing a legacy.

Growing Our Green Dream

Currently, we have three spacious shadehouses covering 16,000 square feet (1,500 square meters), where we nurture 1,500 thriving Vanilla Planifolia orchids. Now, we’re set to double our shadehouse space to accommodate even more vanilla vines.

Work has already begun to clear this new area – and in our latest video you will see the land being prepared and importantly you'll meet the charismatic Mr. Mishkin Brooks from Brooks Haulage. He takes us through the mammoth task he undertook to prepare the land for our expansion.

But there's more than just technical details here. Mr. Mishkin isn't your average heavy machinery operator – he's quite the philosopher! His insights and perspectives on life, particularly at the end of the video, are unique and touching.

A Unique Visitor Experience

For those planning to visit us in the coming months, you're in for a treat! You'll have the unique opportunity to witness firsthand how we construct our shade houses and plant our vanilla vines. These vines are sustainably harvested from the lush forests around Nevis Peak, and then carefully planted in a nutrient-rich mulch of dried mango leaves and coconut husks.

Rooted in Community, Growing for Nevis

This expansion represents more than just business growth – it's a testament to our unwavering commitment to Vanilla Paradise Nevis, our community, and the island we call home. We're not just cultivating vanilla; we're growing opportunities, creating a tradition, and investing in the future of Nevis.

We thank you for following us on this new episode of our venture. Whether you're a culinary enthusiast, a sustainability advocate, or simply curious about the world's second-most expensive spice, there's something here for everyone to discover.

We can't wait to share the fruits (or should we say, beans?) of our labour with you all!
