Preserving Our Past, Cultivating Our Future: A New Eco-Tourism Experience in Nevis
At Vanilla Paradise Nevis, we’re excited to announce that renovation work will soon begin at the historic Hamilton Estate Sugar Mill, our neighbour on Nevis, where the former general manager’s house will be restored and transformed into a welcoming visitor center. This initiative, in collaboration with the Nevis Historical and Conservation Society and the Ministry of Tourism, underscores our commitment to preserving Nevis cultural heritage while promoting sustainable tourism.

Vanilla Farm Tours: remain open
During the renovations, the guided tours of our vanilla farm—the first and only organic and sustainable vanilla farm on the island—will continue to be available. Vanilla was grown on Nevis as far back as the early 20th century, though probably not on a commercial scale. Nestled between the beauty of Mount Nevis and the Caribbean Sea, this is a unique opportunity to experience the rebirth of vanilla farming on the island.
Soon, we also plan to offer self-guided tours of the Hamilton Estate sugar mill ruins. A series of informative panels and viewing platforms are available which bring the history of this important site to life.

Coming soon: Vanilla Café
Looking further ahead, we are thrilled to announce that our Vanilla Café, a relaxed spot featuring delectable vanilla-infused treats, is expected to open by mid-next year—something we know visitors will look forward to.

We invite you to be part of this venture that brings together Nevis' history, sustainable farming, and, of course, vanilla. Whether you're interested in history, agriculture, or just the taste of vanilla, we think you'll find something to appreciate here.
